Il touchscreen resistivo analogico \u00e8 un sensore costituito da due strati opposti, ciascuno rivestito con un materiale resistivo trasparente chiamato ossido di indio e stagno (ITO). L'ITO ha una resistivit\u00e0 tipica compresa tra 100 e 500 ohm per quadrato. Gli strati sono separati da un motivo di piccolissimi punti isolanti trasparenti. Le barre collettrici di inchiostro d'argento (~50 mW\/quadrato) stabiliscono una connessione elettrica con la superficie dell'ITO sui bordi esterni, estendendosi lungo l'asse desiderato dello strato dato. Tracce di inchiostro d'argento (~50 mW\/quadrato) collegano le barre collettrici a un connettore elettromeccanico utilizzato per l'interfacciamento con il sensore. Il foglio di copertura ha un rivestimento duro e resistente sul lato esterno e un rivestimento conduttivo sul lato interno. Quando viene toccato, il rivestimento conduttivo stabilisce un contatto elettrico con il rivestimento sul vetro e il tocco viene registrato dal controller analogico.<\/p><p>I touchscreen resistivi offrono prestazioni convenienti, costanti e durature in ambienti in cui le apparecchiature devono resistere a contaminanti e liquidi, come ristoranti, fabbriche e ospedali.
